Hi,

just wanted to check if there are any updates on this? With 25.05. coming up it would be shame to having to disable piwigo on my site just to avoid any cease-and-desist from some German scaming lawyers :-(

Thanks,
Thomas

Hi TheDoc,

i have the same problem with the 25.5. I think, i add the Workarround from Ralf (i hosted piwigo on my own server) and disable the rating. I have also disable Userregistration.
The only missing thing is a cookie Banner (the theme use 2 Session Cookies).
The rest are config Options on the Webserver.

You absolutely DO NOT need to inform about session cookies. Keep Piwigo free from retarded cookie warnings and other meaningless interactions. No banners! No overlays! No clicks!

I don´t have a banner at this time. The cookies are only for Site funtionality. I add only a description in the Statement.
At this time i don´t allow User Comments. Thats all.

Re: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

I just felt we need to raise this again.

EVERY other actor is doing this, Wordpress, Drupal, etc etc... We need a plugin that prompts an admission in regards to site content and cookies, plus relevant legislation information. This is even more important if you use the Community plugin, which I do.

There are even lots of foreign, mostly US sites that have closed to EU public du to GDPR requirements.

Re: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Hello !
Maybe somebody could help me implement "cookie bar" in my Piwigo https://photos.revestou.fr/ ?
It's already in use on my main site https://revestou.fr/, but I was not the one who integrated it.
