Hello/Hi/Greetings,
Since the last Piwigo-update my Community plugin does not work 100%. A user can log in but there is no button anymore to upload photo's.
Perhaps I am doing anything wrong?
Piwigo version: 2.10.1
PHP version: PHP: 7.2.24 (Toon info) [2019-11-10 12:49:26]
MySQL: 5.5.5-10.3.17-MariaDB-1:10.3.17+maria~bionic [2019-11-10 12:49:26]
Piwigo URL: http://foto.palok.nl

Hi :-)
Can you test
[extension by ddtddt] Upload1menu
Offline
Installed your plug-in. A normal user still can not upload.
As webmaster I than uploaded but the photo only appeared in the album I posted.
Or do I misunderstand the function of this plugin? (Add uploaded photos as a first level menu. 'Community' plugin must be installed)
[edit] Piwigo places this line on the top of the window after I changed the configuration of the community-plugin:
' index: in /customers/7/f/a/palok.nl/httpd.www/foto/include/functions_html.inc.php on line 125 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /customers/7/f/a/palok.nl/httpd.www/foto/include/functions_html.inc.php:125) in /customers/7/f/a/palok.nl/httpd.www/foto/include/page_header.php on line 86 '

Ok, that's a serious drawback for me. I had a conversation with a contributor to one of my albums (FRENCH actually) and she was not able to upload. I gave more rights and still not able to upload. I am not giving admin rights.
Haven't heard any news for a while so maybe I can get back to her saying something was wrong and has now been fixed...

if you really want to help, then you can register a bug
https://github.com/plegall/Piwigo-community/issues
Make sure you include all your relevant info: version numbers (Piwigo, PHP, SQL etc.), installed extensions, precise steps to reproduce the problem, and whatever additional information you can provide.
Repeatedly shouting your demands here in the forum accomplishes nothing. We heard you, and it will be fixed when somebody is able.

There are 21 registered issues on the Github and the last was from oct 25. There seems to be next to zero attention on the Github page for more than a year. There are unclosed issues since 2015.
With that result I do not consider Github the way to get any attention, you are not even on the team so why should I listen to you...

If you knew anything about software development, you'd know that long standing issues are normal for a project of this scale.
Also, you are completely wrong. I see about a dozen issues that have been closed in only the past month. I'm sure you've noticed from the announcements that new versions are released several times per yer. Rest assured that Piwigo development is very active.
Github is the BEST way to track legitimate bugs.
You and I ARE the team. That is how open source software works. If you need somebody to hold your hand, then you might be better off with some Microsoft or Apple product.
Do you have any further valuable information to add, or will you just continue to bless us with your incessant whining?

Calm down you two, it's holidays..
The community plugin and its issue tracker indeed isn't that vibrant (contrary to the lively Piwigo core tracker). Nevertheless, it is the place to report bugs. But, if a user can't be bothered to report a bug then why should anyone fix it.

I've been working on Community lately. I will (soon) release a new version of the plugin with new features.

Merci plg. That is all I needed to hear.

Hi,
The plugin does not work uploading in PHP7.4. It stalls and no error whatsoever when I put a try...catch.
I upgraded to plupload 2.3.6 -> no change
Any clue to this?
Thanks!

ddtddt Very useful plugin, thank you. It took me forever to figure out where users had the option to upload photos. hopefully it will be made part of core... The Community Plugin seems to work well except for uploading functionality. This is not as big of an issue for those with ios devices because it works there okay, but with the android app also not functioning very well it makes uploading by anyone that is not Admin or Webmaster impossible. I would be happy to test anything in anyway that would be helpful to get this fixed. I'm using the Linuxserver docker image of Piwigo 11.5
