Not able to upgrade to newest version of piwigo.....

Greetings,

I am trying to upgrade my piwigo photo albums to the newest version.  A few months ago my hosting provider updated the php version on all servers and now my site has deprecated errors.  I found the instructions on your site to automatically upgrade piwigo but I cannot get the admin to login to run the upgrade.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Piwigo version:
PHP version: 7.2
MySQL version:

Re: Not able to upgrade to newest version of piwigo.....

So what Piwigo version are you currently running, and when logging in what is the error displayed, if any?
The "deprecated" messages are not errors but warnings due to the newer PHP version with your old Piwigo version. Not being able to login probably has a different cause.

Doesn't really show an error, it just doesn't show my administration options.  The only album that shows is the one not protected by a secure login.  http://rlbconsulting.biz/Pics

Re: Not able to upgrade to newest version of piwigo.....

2.7.4 is already 5 years old. You could try to manually install the newest Piwigo, i.e. unpack the release zip in place and let it overwrite existing files, and hope things will work after. There has been work for compatibility with PHP 7.x
Backup your installation and database first..
There may be incompatibilities with extensions you use, best move all ./plugins/* directories to a different location out of tree before unpacking the new release zip and reinstall them after from the plugins manager.
