Hello/Hi/Greetings,
I don't know if Piwigo can handle this. I'd like to setup an album and allow registered users to upload an image to it - but only allow them to view their own image. Is this something that can be done?
We are a photoclub and have monthly challenges. Having the photographers submit their photo to an album would make things considerably easier for organizing this monthly event. The idea would be for the album to become shared publicly after a deadline and then at that point everyone can see all the submissions and pick the photos that they thought were the most successful at meeting the challenge.
Is this possible? With a plugin?

It is, thank you.
We'll give a try out and see how if it can do what we want.

I've had a look at Community and while it looks pretty good it does not allow us to setup an album where logged in users can upload their image AND only see their image until we approve all of the submissions. It's important to keep submissions private to the moderator and submitter until after the "challenge" closes.
Any other ideas?

the plugin does support upload approval. Did you look at the plugin settings?

You are quite right! That will work for us, thank you.
