Best NAS Product that has Piwigo all configured?

Hi Everyone,

I have been running Piwigo via Bluehost and it's getting to be a bit more painful to host with them and I am thinking of running piwigo on a commercially available NAS.

I have Synology but it does not seem to work well. So I am asking for recommendations on the fastest way to get the latest version of Piwigo running on a commercially available NAS.

What would you recommend ?

Re: Best NAS Product that has Piwigo all configured?

I don't run it myself, but if you search the net for Piwigo OpenMediaVault you'll get some hits among which is https://www.networkshinobi.com/piwigo-o … ediavault/ that seems to be quite detailed, and an OVM forum thread about a Portainer install. Good thing of OpenMediaVault is it is a Debian system and will run on about everything that has x86_64 or ARM CPU, some RAM and data drive, e.g. even a Raspberry Pi (if you don't have to handle 100s of simultaneous connections).

Re: Best NAS Product that has Piwigo all configured?

I am trying to use Asustor instead og Synology. Asustor have Piwigo as an app, so I have managed to install it to the NAS and can upload pictures. I have yet to figure out how to get it to work outside the local network, though. Additionally, I need it to sync with a piwigo-library previoulsy hosted on another server - which I also don't know how to do as of now. I anyone have any exeperience with this on the Asustor - please reach out!
