Is it possible to upload a image and get it to simply replace the image on site. (I am redoing my images with exif data and this will save me deleting collection and text and starting each set again)
Thanks

I'm on piwigo.com, "photo update" is activated but how does it work please? Thanks

Yes its is possible.
I don't use the upload tool so I will leave it to the ones who do to comment.
I just FTP into the images and copy images over the top of the ones already there, then do a sync with "even already synchronized photos" and "overrides existing values with empty ones" selected.

Can I update more than one photo at a time? each album has 100's of photos, doing one by one is not an option as it would take ages
Thanks

that's not the purpose of this plugin
there is currently no way to easily replace hundreds photo
but if you have some knowledges on PHP or Perl or Python you can create a scripts witch will do it for you using the Web Services (see http://yoursite/tools/ws.htm) with the method pwg.images.addSimple

I was able to upload via cpanel today, then synchronize the files and selected
Synchronise metadata (filesize, width, height, date_creation, latitude, longitude)
including already synchronised photos
but do not select the next one which I think will reset the counter to 0.
This way I found the hit counters are still there.
I tried the update album, it worked fine for 2 folders then it wont work anymore on the third one. It kept saying 0 photos replaced. not sure why, so I tried this method.
