I tried the physical move plugin again today.
1). selected one photo in batch manager, specified where to move.
2). clicked "apply action" and saw that "database updated"
3). checked album, photo still there at the old place, nothing in new place.
using piwigo 13.6.

tried synchronizing files, no effect.
oops, why photos are not embedded.

Ok, you're not using my plug-in. "Move to Album" is the built-in Piwigo action, so what you're doing is creating a LINK to that photo in the target album.
If you want to MOVE the photo using my plug-in, you need to use the "Move to physical album" menu item.

ok my bad. tried yours again.
it says successfully moved but not in the target album.
ok it was moved to the root directory....so it worked ok this time.

maybe i used the wrong one last time, since deleting the original one delted both, so it must be a link only created in the target folder.

Sorry, I'm out of town this week until Sunday.
But yeah, if you used the Piwigo "move to folder" option on a physical photo, I believe it ends up creating a link to the photo in the target album. So if you then removed the physical photo and synced, "both" would be removed.
So if you use my "move to physical album" item, the physical file should be moved from one physical album (folder) to another, with the original removed.
