I cannot beliveve no copy link

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

Piwigo is a really simple useful gallery that just works!! Thank you

BUT! I cannot believe there is not an ability plugin etc that will allow you to "copy the link" of image??

I have searched far and wide and cant find a thing

"other than the ugly right-click copy image link"

I am not a bright one my degree is in business, not computer science surly one of you clever ones can add such a feature?

Re: I cannot beliveve no copy link

This is somewhat normal and is done to protect the site from the use of remote link images elsewhere, which would overload our server and could result in additional costs. The apparent link in the address bar is the one of the Piwigo reader.

However, since I use Piwigo as a documentation center and my images and pdf are intended to be used on my other sites, I had to find another solution, more practical, more direct. And I found it a bit by chance.

At start, I consulted the page in source mode and found the name and address that Piwigo had given to my image. As I use Piwigo with virtual albums, the address looked like uploads/year/month/day/order-no.jpg.

Then, while I was looking for a solution to grab .webp images from other sites, I installed a Firefox extension called "Save webP as PNG or JPEG" And this extension is able to display any image from the web in a new tab with save links. And when we copy the content of the address bar, we get the real and physical address of the image hosted in a Piwigo.
