Yeah, i know, it`s a quite drastic title, i apologize. But as I`m tryind to be as constructive as possible, it shouldn`t matter too much.
The look is good, but Handling isn`t. Let me offer you my point of view as a user. I`ll do this in chaters.
The menu-points ar spreaded all over the place in all four corners. Think of any program you want and use and imagine its menu would be the same. Let say, it`s an Text-Editor. Open-File is top left, Formatting top right, Save-File ist Bottom-left and Printing is Bottom-Right. I can assure you, within a few operations you get mad. Same here:

Some points are even redundant. E.G. "Edit Sub-Albums". Both could be easyly replaced by linking the Subalbums-Frame. By the way, this field would get a real value above just beeing statistic

"Authorize commets" is also spreaded over two places. Remove the "for sub-Albums" Point form the Top-Right and put it next to the existing Button, where it belongs and makes way more sense

The "Photos" Field should be linked, too. And the big empty Field should get the same function as the "Photo-Add" page, so you can drop pictures in it. I already catched myself trying it a few times. Give this big empty field a real function.

After this little Clean-Up, re-order the lasting fragments in one corner and you`ll get a much cleaner, much easier to handle manager. The Info-Fields get real value. Clean and simple. Nothing revolutionary. Functions are still the same, you don`t lose a single point and get a menu that`s in only plce and not spreaded over all corners. You could even get rid of the complete footer an gain additional space

Yeah, I know, it`s just my personal point of view. But sometimes it`s good to get this kind of feedback from outside the Programmers-Bubble.
So, the Manager does not suck at all - but could be a lot cleaner, simpler and easier to use. Thanks for reading - if you made it to this point.
Have a good time.

We will discuss your feedback next tuesday during our weekly design meetup :-) I fully don't agree but we may take some ideas :-D

And you're writing about the "Album Editor", not the "Album Manager" ;-)

Leopold, I do agree about the edition commands being spread all over the place : really not easy to manage, even if the look is elegant. But when you're working intensively, it's much quicker and more convenient to keep all your orders in one place.
For the instructions on comments, there are no duplicates: one concerns the album, the other the sub-albums.
I've stopped working on album editing on my version 14 site, and I'm not updating my main Piwigo until there's an improvement in this respect: I'm waiting for FCKeditor to come back, and the various editing instructions need to be brought together in one place.

my primary point is the hope for a (again) more compact and central menu-system. handling is really no pleasure at the moment.
function before fancyness would be better - at least for administration. keep it clean, keep it simple.
it`s been better in previous versions.
the clean and simple handling has been one of the main reasons for choosing piwigo. i actually don`t know, if i would have done it, if the handling would have been the same like it is today. no offence, just honesty.
