Good day all,
I've searched, found similar questions but could not find a solution
I am using the latest version of Piwigo and Modus as my theme. I would like to default to a large image for viewing images in albums and in slideshows.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hallo March411
You can find some settings for this in the admin under Configuration/Options. Take a look under Image Sizes and Display. You can also adjust all sizes there. There you can also set all sizes. Show image size icon etc.

Olaf, the reply is most appreciated!
I did look at both of the items you noted in Config/options and the default is Medium and it will not allow me to uncheck this size. It will allow me to edit the size dimensions but it appears medium is a hard default size.
Is this the only area where the sizes can be configured? I have gone through all of the Admin functions and the area you noted was the only place I found to configure image sizes.

You are using Gthumb+. This plugin resizes the thumbnail on albums pages. Look at the plugin settings.
For the home page albums thumbnails, have a look at the Modus theme settings. There is something there about thumbnail sizes.

Katryne, thanks for the response. I do have GThumb+ set up the way I like it and it's working well. Once someone clicks on an image and enters the album is where I have challenges. It always defaults to a medium, the smallest size.
As Olaf suggested I poked around in the Config/options but the selection for the default image size is medium and it is not a configurable selection/field. It's scheck with no way to change it.
It's unusual, I just want to make the default large but can't find a configuration to change the default size.

Oh, sorry I had no understood, you mean the page of each photo.
The smallish size is because of the modus theme : the photo informations are on the side of the photo.
In my ex-sites (which do not belong to me any more), I had to fork the modus theme in order to display the informations under the photo.
Look here, the photo size is "large"

It was rather long and difficult to do. So when I built my own Piwigos, I chose to work with the Bootstrap Darkroom theme, which offers the choice to display the informations below the picture without forking. And proposes a diaporama full size.
