I thank you for any suggestions,
I am fairly new user. I am self hosting on a machine I build for this app to share family pictures. Everything has been working, but recently when uploading photos from a Windows computer it freezes. I can watch the status as each picture is finished, but at the final end sometimes it just freezes, even the cancel doesn't seem to work. When I switch to manage folder or something, it states that I may lose the uploads. Sometimes they are there and sometimes the photos did not get uploaded.
I am very pleased and want to thank everyone for writing and supporting this app. I have scanned hundreds of photographs and shared with family across this country. Thanks

Just to add more information, it does seem to work when uploading fewer pictures at at time.

Have you checked the PHP parameters?
upload_max_file_size
post_max_size
It seems that they are too low. You change them in the .htaccess file (or .user.ini depending on the php version and your hosting provider) in the root directory of you piwigo installation:
e.g.
php_value upload_max_filesize 1G
php_value post_max_size 1G
