Windows version?
Version of Piwigo?
Current pLoader version?
And (with which) version of pLoader did you start?
Because with Windows we observed some inconsistency in Application data that can be the root cause.

Windows XP (Piwigo is on Windows Server 2003)
Piwigo 2.0.4
pLoader 2.0.3a

Are these photos actually transfered in the upload directory on your server ?

upload failure with big files
Hallo
I try to upload big jpg files (8-9MB) with pLoader 2.0.5.b adn piwigo 2.0.6
But I get Communication error with: http://....... :read time out.
Duration 332sec.
Are there size limitation in the upload prozess or does I have to change some settings I oversaw?
Thanks
Daniel

Big files are split and sent chunk by chunk to avoid server timeout issues. You can reduce the default chunk size ( 500 ko ) in Global settings / Advanced in order to send smaller chunks.

I was able to upload files which are about 5MB.
With my 12 MB Files I had no chance. I always get a time out error.
I had to set the chunk file size to 3000. ploader uploads then pieces of 2.9 KB to the Buffer Folder on the Server.
What causes the time out. The number of files in the buffer or the size of the chunk-pieces?
After a the time out error the chunk files stay in the Buffer-Folder. I had to delete some x-thousend chunk-files after testing.

Problem:
Windows XP on computer so using the windows version of Ploader, Linux on server. Ploader 2.0.5b and Piwigo's latest version.
Everything was working awesome for the first two weeks. I then downloaded charlies_content in order to upload videos.
Ploader did not accept the files as far as I can tell.
Then I uploaded some more image files. Then it was stuck on 0 and saying it was uploading the video file.
Now, every time that I try to use Ploader, as soon as I touch the Connect button, it closes which is verified by the task manager.
I have removed all protection and fire walls from computer to see if that would help.
I have deleted and reinstalled the software no less than ten times. Each time, it somehow remembers my username and other log in information. I ran a search on my computer and deleted everything with ploader in the name and still have the same problem and it still has the log in information filled out.
I had my son see if Ploader would work on his computer. It does and he can log on without a problem.
Do you have any ideas for me?
Thank you.
pLoader stores its data in :
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\.pLoader
The video upload has probably corrupted a file. You can delete this folder and its content.
The runtime cache is :
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp\par-<username>
and you can also delete it.
<username> is a placeholder for your session login.

Ron, Thank you!
For some reason, I could not find the .ploader folder during my troubleshooting until after reading your post. I never found a par-<username> file, but that is alright. Once I deleted the .ploader file and reinstalled Ploader, it is working again.
You were of great help.
