Hi,

How can I get the HTML uploader to work? I'd also like to make it the default option.

I do not have Flash on my computer (nor do I want to install it!).

Every time I click the 'Browser uploader' link it just goes to the home page, but appends &upload_mode=html to the URL.

I've tried different browsers with the same results.

I had the same problem but fixed it after reading this --
[Github] Piwigo-community issue #14
-- and changing

Code:

$conf['question_mark_in_urls'] = false;

to

Code:

$conf['question_mark_in_urls'] = true;

Re: Community plugin, new generation for Piwigo 2.2+

I have installed community plugin and everything seems to work correctly, except that I get this error for every photo in apache error log when uploading:

[Wed Jan 04 12:21:27.004241 2017] [:error] [pid 2510] [client 192.168.1.14:38088] script '/var/www/html/piwigo/plugins/community/i.php' not found or unable to stat

I have verified that the i.php file is not in the community folder but i the piwigo root folder.

Ubutuntu server: 16.04 LTS
Piwigo ver.: 2.8.5
Community plugin: 2.8.a

Re: Community plugin, new generation for Piwigo 2.2+

Version 2.9.a-beta was just released. This is a big release, because I finally made the switch from Flash to HTML5. This change is quite huge as far as code is concerned. This is why I labelled it "beta".

The "quota" feature is not implemented yet on it.

Please report any problem on the forum :-) If it turns out to be a bug, we'll deal with it on Github.

Re: Community plugin, new generation for Piwigo 2.2+

Ok I have had the first person register and not sure what status they need to be to be able to post in the community?

Only installed it Friday so very new to all this... which is why there are loads of posts all over the place :)

I have created a group called registered and put them in that one as well.

I have also put registered group as being allowed to post in the community or Fans Contributions as I have called it.

Kriss :)

I'm having trouble with the new html5 upload. I tested with several browsers (firefox, chrome) and on different computers. It won't let me choose photos to upload, instead the message "Your browser doesn't have HTML5 support." is displayed.

Hello,

Thank you for the community-plugin, it works lovely!

But, there is a little thingy... and maybe I did not search hard enough but am I correct that users can not have an avatar?

I'm new to Piwigo, but have an imported gallery working with over 6000 images.

I need users to be able to upload, but have to use the Community plugin to do so. And it has a small bug.

If you limit the amount of disk space per user, the "Your browser doesn't have HTML5 support." message is displayed. Make the disk space unlimited, works fine.

Might want to fix that. :)

Re: Community plugin, new generation for Piwigo 2.2+

There seem to be some serious limitations with Community, or perhaps with Piwigo in general

There is no way for a user to add a description and tags when they upload. And no way for the user to see their files after they've been uploaded (apart from trying to find them in the gallery normally).

The user also isn't notified when the admin approves their images.

Basically there is no continuity between the user and the images they upload. Which means the administrator has to try and track down every description, tag, etc when someone else uploads something.

If there is no way to rectify this, it will be a deal breaker for me to use Piwigo, which is a pity, because I like it's speed and overall simplicity.

Edit: Ok, I see the Set Photo Properties section in the upload form. But that applies ONE set of properties to ALL the files they're uploading at that particular time. That seems very odd to me, since each photo/image/whatever is supposed to be unique and have its own properties.

I'm confused.

Welcome to the club! :) http://piwigo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=27108

Piwigo weakest point compared to other similar software is the multiuser part ... really primitive (and buggy too). Probably if all development of Piwigo should concentrate on this for 3-4 months, multi-user part will become at the level of the competition (Zenphoto, Menalto, Copermine, etc).

P.S.   Normal users can edit photo properties with the plugin "Admin tools", but they need to browse every photo and click a button. They can't do this in a single web-page in batch mode and neither at the upload moment (like you observed).

Hi,

* filter pending photos
* filter permissions (for a given user on a give album, display the summary of what he can do)

is it this feature has been available?

Re: Community plugin, new generation for Piwigo 2.2+

Hi,

I just migrated Menalto gallery to Piwigo. Everything seems to work fine, users can create albums and upload pictures. However, there is one thing I'd like to have on community plugin: when creating album, user should be able to fill in description for album. It would also be nice if they could edit properties of albums they created. Could it be it possible to do it with plugin, or would it require extensive modification on Piwigo core?

Re: Community plugin, new generation for Piwigo 2.2+

Hi,
I have Piwigo 2.9.2 on my server, it works as expected, administrator is able to create albums and upload photos. I've installed Community plugin and added one permission: "any registered user    The whole gallery    high trust, sub-albums creation".

But when I log-in as user and try to create new album after clicking on "Create" button it just shows red text "Forbidden". Also trying to upload pictures into existing album doesn't work, it just shows button "Cancel" and black bar on right side of it without any visible activity.

It looks like there is something wrong with permissions but I don't see it. Can you please tell me what I should check to fix this problem?

(I tried it in multiple browsers, same results everywhere.)
