Hi all,
I recently installed Piwigo in my Raspberry PI on MySQL. I have an USB disk connected to this Raspberry which I use as a backup target for my pictures, collected from another machine. I would like to scan through Piwigo a folder on this disk, so that I'll be able to browse them through Piwigo's web interface, without moving or changing data in the backup target folder.
Can you please help me to accomplish this task? Is there a plugin which might help me?
Thanks in advance.
Piwigo version: 2.10.2
PHP version: 7.0.33-0+deb9u7
MySQL version: .0.33-0+deb9u7

Place a symbolic link to the external folder(s) into Piwigo's galleries directory and use FTP sync.

Thanks, it worked...
Is there a way to automatically prepare and store picture thumbnails for all photos imported, so that I don't have to wait for several minutes while browsing them through piwigo web interface?

What does your symlink look like? Did you put it in the proper folder under your Piwigo install (ex. /usr/local/piwigo/galleries)?
Here's mine, for example:
drwxr-xr-x 2 jeremy www-data 4096 Oct 11 05:32 . drwxr-xr-x 14 www-data www-data 4096 Apr 21 2021 .. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Dec 28 2014 events -> /mnt/media/Pictures/Events -rw-r--r-- 1 jeremy www-data 610 Oct 11 05:32 index.php lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Dec 28 2014 misc -> /mnt/media/Pictures/Misc lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Dec 28 2014 people -> /mnt/media/Pictures/People lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Dec 28 2014 places -> /mnt/media/Pictures/Places 17:01:46 /usr/local/piwigo/galleries:$

Yes but I was able to find the reason for my problem yesterday. There was executing permissions missing on the path to the pictures somewhere so I did chmod a+x on the whole path and it is finally working.
