Hello, a friend photographer recommended Piwigo, I had a look at the website, but I'm really not computer savvy and I still don't really understand how it works. Could someone explain to me in simple words ? Or would it be too complicated for me to use ?
I have about 100 000 photos on an iMac which I will need access to for a few months from a Mac Book. The idea is to have all the photos on an external hard drive and then a software I can use on my laptop to visualise them in a gallery without having to download them as my laptop doesn't have enough space for that.
Thank you
Bernadette

Hi Benadette,
As far as I understand you want to access your photos which are on a local HDD.
Piwigo is a management system to access pictures uploaded to a server from the web, I'm not sure this is what you need.
There are a lot of s/w to access pictures located on a HDD, I'm on windows but I'm sure there is one existing natively on mac.
Have a look here :

I think this should get you going on the MAC.

Hi Bernadette.
Will your Macbook be connected to the internet? If so, the easiest way will be to use iCloud.
