Piwigo.org gets a huge facelift for 2018! Started in 2014, the facelift project needed some graphical skills to get completed. Thanks to Lisa, student in a school of design, the project could go forward.

We're preparing a "testimonials" page on piwigo.org. This new page would collect (positive) feedback on Piwigo. It would mainly be useful to people discovering Piwigo, trying to know if it would fit their needs.

Here comes Piwigo 2.9.1. This release includes fixes for the bugs discovered by the Piwigo community on 2.9. It also fixes several minor security issues. Thank you very much for reporting bugs and helping us to fix them as efficiently as possible!

15 years ago, Piwigo 1.0.0 was released. Back then its name was still PhpWebGallery. I started this project as a personal project. Living next to my engineering school, I wanted to share photos with my parents, 500 kilometers away.

Piwigo 2.8.6 is available. It fixes 2 bugs introduced in previous version 2.8.5 and a minor security issue on image upload. Here comes the second beta version for Piwigo 2.9.

Holiday season has been a bit disturbed by security issues discovered in the email library we use on Piwigo (PHP Mailer). This is why we have released an "emergency" release 2.8.4 on December 27th and then release 2.8.5 on January 1st 2017. Thanks to teekay, author of the excellent Bootstrap Darkroom theme, PHP Mailer embedded in Piwigo is now in version 5.2.21. Thank you very much for your help.

Piwigo 2.9.0beta1 is available. As you will see on screenshots and during your tests, design has become a priority for this release. Of course it also includes various other improvements such as technical improvements, increased speed.

Piwigo version 2.8.3 is available, for fresh installs and upgrades. Winter is coming. So does Piwigo 2.9! In addition to technical and user features, administration pages will get a refreshed look.
